The St John’s Boys’ team played fantastically well at the recent Penistone Area Football Tournament. They achieved first place in the tournament and secured a place in the Barnsley Schools football tournament. Great effort, boys and good luck in the final! We look forward to the whole team showing off some excellent sportsmanship and team skills

The boys’ football team reached the South Yorkshire Schools’ Final Event held at Balby Carr, Doncaster. The team had previously won the Penistone Schools’ Event and were in the final of the Barnsley School’s competition. In Doncaster, the competition was fierce! After playing some exciting games, the team was placed 7th in South Yorkshire. The county has more than 400 primary schools…what a tremendous achievement boys!
